The alignment gap is the rare, significant reading — the stellar-recurrence "frequency constant": a one-simple word reads at most alignments (short gap, e.g. every few years); a multi-simple word reads only when all its signs coincide (long gap). The ordinary-day cadence is the noise floor every word also sits on (when any planet transits its sign). Planet periods are stable, so the everyday cadence is the same in any year.
