Rare alignments

Most nights the planets spread across many signs. Once a century or so they concentrate inside a single one — the whole moving retinue in one house of the zodiac. The 5 February 1962 conjunction put seven bodies inside Aquarius inside a twenty-degree arc. These are the rare alignments: 267 of them across the recorded span, each a day when the sky narrows its alphabet to a few letters and the readable names tighten with it.
